Vision. Focus. Drive – What have you done for me lately

Are you a bit like me and spend December in a state of reflection? What did the past year bring? Have I achieved what I wanted? Did I set out to do the things I had planned? One of my biggest lessons during 2011, has been that nothing makes sense without VISION. I have to admit Stephen Covey's well known quote " start with the end in mind" really does bring success. I have learned that VISION brings the end picture, the end result into focus as the DESTINATION. VISION brings everything … [Read more...]

Sitting still for 10 – 30 minutes without looking at my phone, checking emails, reviewing FaceBook, Linked In or blog post comments. Sitting still for 10-30 minutes and not talking on the phone. Sitting still … [Read more...]

Are you Talkin’ to me?

A previous post focused on the power of our words and communication. It exposed some of the simple things we can do to ensure that we communicate with the people around us in a way that is not only powerful, but effective. An interesting discussion then commenced between my husband and I about the power of our ‘self talk’. Now I have heard this phrase so many times; it’s a ‘coach/mentor/self help’ kind of phrase. In my reading, listening and seeking advice from mentors I have learned that my … [Read more...]
