Over the past 9 months we have been keeping busy with an incredible range of clients.
We reported on our outcomes and the value we bring to the industry back in March, and I thought it was timely to update us all on what we have been focused on and how we have been making a difference to the lives of our clients.
Over the past 3 months we have helped people living with:
- Mood disorders
- Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease, Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Multiple fractures following MVA
- TBI, DVT and Pulmonary Embolism
We continue to provide excellent Employability Assessments and Initial Needs Analysis that are proving incredibly helpful for insurers who want to implement their own recovery, rehabilitation and RTW plans but need some additional information and analysis to help them do so effectively.
We completed 2 individual Fatigue Management Programs with outstanding results. The scales and measures that we use to provide a base line of perceived fatigue severity and perceived fatigue impact are powerful tools in helping clients understand how their fatigue relates to their function. While scores on the scales might not change dramatically (they are not supposed to) clients are often amazed at how much more they can do with the energy they have.
We now have specific brochures designed for potential clients to help them understand the value of the Fatigue Management Program. These are proving to be a great resource for insurers and case managers.
It’s always exciting here at Purple Co when we help people to return to work following injury, illness and trauma, and we have again been able to experience this in the past 3 months.
One particular client required some significant out-of-the-box thinking to help accelerate her return to paid employment as her benefit period was nearing very quickly. Being able to plan for the stepping stones of employment throughout a longer recovery period, helped this client return to paid work before her benefit period ended, ensuring that additional stresses and burdens of a lack of finance did not complicate her recovery further.
Here’s a snap shot of the results we have experienced over the past 9 months.
